Springtree Farms

A Storybook Setting to Match the Wonder of Your Romance

Our First Wedding in 2016: Abby and Zeke, May 21, 2016

‘Sweet elegance” and “rich relationships” are the two phrases that come to mind when I remember Abby and Zeke’s dream-like wedding on May 21, 2016.  Not only were they high school sweethearts, but both sets of parents and all of the siblings have long standing relationships.  Their parents even vacation together!  Needless to say, their two-day wedding event at Springtree Farms was filled with lots of love, laughter, and liveliness!  We loved every minute of it!  What a joy and honor it was to share these sacred and significant moments with them!

Beginning Friday afternoon, the wedding party of family and friends began their weekend of fun.  The rehearsal dinner was spent pool-side as they enjoyed pizza from our wood-fired pizza oven. One of our favorite moments was the touching slideshow of Abby and Zeke’s life and romance, created by the groom’s brother and mother. (Kleenex anyone?)

Abby’s big day began on Saturday with a relaxed bridal brunch for her bridesmaids, while the groomsmen ate a leisurely breakfast by the pool.  Thanks to our all-star partners: Ruthie, at Crossville’s Fifth and West Market Square Cafe; Fran’s Florist; Jamie and Justina Chapman with Chapman’s Landscape in Pikeville; assistant event designer, Nina Nasse; Bradford’s Catering and All Occasions Party Rentals, Knoxville,  the setting was tremendously beautiful and delicious!

It wasn’t long before the girls were eagerly whisked away, mimosas in hand, to get hair and make-up done in time for pictures.  Our gifted in-house hair stylist Julie Allen (julieallen11@gmail.com), who will actually be another gorgeous Springtree bride in October, arrived to work her magic in our mini-salon. Soon to follow was “Miracle Meagan,” as we call her.   Meagan Howard works wonders with a makeup brush and the beauty lasts all day! (meagan.howard.2010@gmail.com)

From a sunny bridal brunch to the romantic sparkler send-off, the entire day was delightful and picture-perfect!  Capturing all of those treasured memories with tireless creativity were Lisa and Jonathan Price (lisapricephotography.com).  I’m sure you will agree that some things just cannot be put into words. We will let you see for yourself:

All the family’s love and support was palpable as they ecstatically drove away.  I turned, thinking there would surely be a few tearful moments… only to see… the parents, doing an Empty Nesters Dance.

What a privilege it was to celebrate this perfect day with these folks…and what a grand way to kickoff the 2016 wedding season!
